Update on 29/05/2020:

As of the 1st June, our Boston Lock Keeper will be back on duty.

Anyone wanting to travel through Boston Lock will need to contact our lock keeper on 07387 050967 and they will then arrange your passage through the lock based on tides and availability.

Please allow at least 24 hours when making your booking through the lock.

Strictly observe social distancing at all times, following the latest advice from the government. Before you go by boat, bike or boot, remember to check your route.

Please follow the government advice – stay alert, control the virus, save lives.

The staff who operate Boston Lock are currently furloughed and until they return to work, Boston lock will not be operational.

In guidance with the government guide-lines, we aim to have Boston Lock operational again by the start of June and we will update our website accordingly.

From Wednesday 13 May our canals and rivers are open for navigation. Our towpaths are also open for exercise or journeys to undertake essential work, but please try to avoid any stretches with boats moored against the towpath. Strictly observe social distancing at all times, following the latest advice from the government. Before you go by boat, bike or boot, remember to check your route.
