Update on 08/02/2021:

Unfortunately, due to further delays to the repair of the lock gate gearbox, off site, we will be unable to complete the refurbishment of Stamp End Lock this week as hoped.

The navigation will need to be closed for a further two weeks but we will do everything we can to complete these works by 26th February 2021.

Update on 24/11/2020:

After removal, stripping down and inspection, it was found the lock gate mechanism from Stamp End Lock requires much more extensive refurbishment work than originally anticipated.

Unfortunately, this means the stoppage needs to be extended until 12th February 2021.

We apologise for any inconvenience this longer closure may cause.
