ADVANCE NOTICE Speaker night 4th November. We have David Gledhill scheduled to talk to us
about his work with the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight. This event is now scheduled to be held at the
Lincoln Boat Club as a shared event. Please save this date and support the event and our Club.

COMMODORES' CORNER

It is with great regret that I have to inform all members that our Friday Night Meeting venue
Quayside Coffee has withdrawn it's facility to us.
Therefore, with immediate effect, there will be no further First Friday Club Nights, until we
find an alternative venue.
It is sad to say that we have lost this facility because too few members turned up on Friday
Nights and this made opening Quayside Coffee commercially unviable.
We would like to thank Beccy and Des for all their hard work, and hope that they may invite
us back for other well attended functions in the future.
The annual fish and chip supper in Saxilby took place on Saturday 10th. Three boats made
the trip (filling up all available moorings) and sixteen members and friends enjoyed a hearty
meal and good conversation.

BOATERS BANTER

We’re still waiting to hear from you about your recent or planned exploits; where do you like
to cruise to? Best moorings, favourite eating places, tips and ideas. Send your stories to
mike.bwbc@gmail.com. Cut-off date for next issue is 15 October.
