Update on 30/06/2020:

Torksey Lock will now be manned around the Tide Times.

For passage through the Lock, please book with our Tidal Lock Keeper on site.

We request 24 hours’ notice for bookings through the lock.

Update on 22/05/2020:

Following the announcement from the Prime Minister regarding the UK’s response to the coronavirus crisis, we are advising can move your boat a short distance.

We advise that your trip minimises the use of manned locks and structures.

Some of our bridges and locks are operated by staff who have been off work on furlough, until they have returned to work some of these staffed structures will be closed.

This means that passage through Torksey lock will continue to be limited and will only be available on a booked basis.

Please note that we require one working days’ notice to arrange passage through the lock, exact time of passage will depend on tide times. We are keeping our response to this crisis under constant review and may change our position according to latest government advice.

Following the announcement from the Prime Minister (8.30pm, 23 March 2020) regarding the UK’s response to the coronavirus crisis, we are asking leisure boaters to stop all non-essential travel and not to visit their boats if they do not live aboard permanently.

This means that passage through Torksey lock will be limited to essential movement to reach facilities or relocate, and will only be available on a booked basis.

Lincoln Yard (2-3rd July)

Contractors (JBA Bentley) working on behalf of the Environment Agency will be conducting an intrusive ground investigation at Lincoln Yard and in the car park.

These are enabling works to facilitate the installation of a crane pad for the works planned under stoppage this coming winter.

Please be aware of the works and keep clear of any plant/machinery on-site (including a JCB).  If possible, please park vehicles elsewhere for the period of these works.

Note that only temporary re-instatement of the hard-standing will be undertaken at this time, prior to further works planned for around October.  This re-instatement will be kept under review.
