Local Authority have advised these works have been delayed. Will update website once we are informed of new dates.
Original message:
Local Authority emergency footpath repairs are taking place in Lincoln city centre, halfway between Wigford Way Road Bridge 8 on the Fossdyke Canal and High Bridge 1 on the River Witham. The works start on 10th March for 6 weeks.
A small pontoon measuring approximately 12m long by 2m wide will be required as a working platform. The position of this pontoon will restrict the available navigation width to 5.6m.
Passing craft are asked to navigate the works location very slowly, with caution and in single file.
The affected footpath will be closed with a diversion in place, the opposite side towpath will remain open.
