Hopefully you all got intrigued enough to open the poster and look at the yellow, also noticing the actual event, a club night guest speaker talking about the history of the Brayford pool and Mary Gordon. These are special evenings so we make them open to the general public and you can invite guests.
Do come along, support your club and listen to an interesting talk on our local history.
6th March in the Woodcocks pub - for further information have another look at the poster here.
The Brayford Pool is a natural lake formed from a widening of the River Witham in the centre of the city of Lincoln in England. It was used as a port by the Romans - who connected it to the River Trent by constructing the Foss Dyke - and has a long industrial heritage.
