The attached press release was issued on Thursday 19 June 2025, in advance of the next phase of the 2025 campaign cruise in which 13 boats will cross the Wash to spread the message on Anglian waterways.
The implications of the Spending Review for waterways will not be clear for some time yet and it is important for FBW to keep raising awareness of the urgent need for funding. The boaters on the cruise have continued to encounter challenges and most recently the Wash crossing has been delayed by unexpected maintenance of the Boston Barrier. But the boaters will persist and so must our campaign.
