The cruise was scheduled for Antons Gowt, but because of the weeds it was re arranged and Duncan and Jo on Carpe Diem went to West Stockwith for two nights Saturday the 10th & Sunday the 11th.
One boat came down with us Phil & Victoria with a Sealine s41 called “Make me smile”, I don’t think they are club members plus Ian & Marj came in there motor home for the two nights and stayed in the local campsite. We went to the White Heart for a meal Saturday night.
Monday morning Duncan and Jo on Carpe Diem set off at 9.30am from west Stockwith up to Dunham Rack for the night. On the way they gave Ian & Marj a boat shuttle to Gainsborough so they could do some shopping and they caught the bus back.
Tuesday around midday we set off from Dunham Rack to Torksey and 3.5k out of Torksey we wild camped at the side of the Fosdyke using our stakes. Duncan did some fishing Wednesday until 4.30pm and although not big fish he caught 64 fish. They set off at 5pm and got back to BW just before it got dark.

BWBC Jubilee Cruise To Boston 2 – 5 June, 2022
Six boats took part on the cruise ; Friendly Spirit, H’e’babe, Carpe Diem, Champagne Life, Cheval de Mere and Symphony.
Wednesday 1st June. Carpe Diem and Champagne Life made an early start and set off mooring for the night at Dunston Fen (across the river from Southrey). They found the White Horse pub has been completely renovated and sold good food at a reasonable price.
Thursday 2nd June. The four remaining boats assembled at Stamp End lock at around 9am. The weather was sunny and warm and we made our way to Bardney. There is noticeable weed building up before and after Bardney and there was a bit of reverse-gear clearing in progress. For the first night, five boats moored up at Tattershall Bridge (unfortunately the pub was closed!). [IMG_4806 shows five boats moored at Tattershall, taken from sixth boat] Friendly Spirit continued on to Boston and moored at Boston Motor Yacht Club and made ready for arrival of the other boats on Friday morning. Friday 3rd June. All boats safely moored up in Boston and free time for the crews. We all met up at 7pm and made our way to Goodbarns Yard in Wormgate (close to the Stump) and enjoyed an excellent meal and equally good conversation and laughter. Returning to the BMYC mooring, we enjoyed the rest of the rather windy and chilly evening under the BMYC gazebo. With very wet weather forecast for Sunday, we all decided to cut the cruise short and return on Saturday. Locks are not much fun in the wet and some boats need their tops down to navigate the low bridges of Lincoln.
Saturday 4th June. All boats departed the moorings for the long run home. We all met up at Dunstan Fen for lunch but found the pub was closed!! [IMG_4839 shows all boats moored at Dunstan Fen. Although the weather conspired against us (a bit cold for June and a wet Sunday) everyone enjoyed the cruise. We were well received by the staff at the Boston mooring and would use them again. So thankyou to all who took part for making this a successful cruise.
